Students will use the internet to research the advantages of recycling on our environment. The students will record their information individually in a recycling notebook.
ACTION
Before-class preparation:
Copies of the recycling graphic organizer made for each student
All computers will be booted and ready for student use
Composition notebooks will be provided for the class to use as the recycling notebooks.

Recycling video made by Laurel School’s Pre-Primary Students
Recycling interactive game to engage students
Students will explore a list of websites to gather information about the advantages of recycling.
Students will [[#|continue]] to research the websites and watch the various videos. Students will use the information in their recycling notebook to [[#|complete]] their graphic organizer.
Ongoing assessment(s): Observations of recycling notebook will be done each day to ensure adequate participation and research is being done. The graphic organizers will be collected after day three and reviewed. Feedback will be provided after reviewing the graphic organizers.
Accommodations and extensions: Accommodations: Individual assistance will be provided for students struggling with the completion of the graphic organizer. Appropriate assistance will be provided for navigating the websites. Extension: Student will find an instructional video on recycling from a different website than the ones provided. The student will share this video to the class and discuss the interesting facts found in the video.
